A lot can happen before Day Zero – 5 things to watch

Published: 2018-01-25 04:42 PM by Lerina Liebenberg

Cape Town – The message from Patrica de Lille, the mayor of Cape Town, on Thursday, January 18 was frank and terrifying.

She claimed that we had reached the "point of no return" and that Day Zero – when the taps will be turned off – is "now likely to happen".

Day Zero is currently predicted for April 12. However, a lot can happen before that day arrives, according to a story on the University of Cape Town's website.
